Nothing wrong with it at all. Age is just one factor that can work for or against a relationship. A lot depends on the maturity of the people and how much they connect and love each other. Current western culture puts a taboo around it but there are many cultures where it's normal and desired. Speaking personally I was in a relationship with a woman 18 years younger (she was 23).

It was fantastic while it lasted and I have no regrets about being with her. She was a very intelligent university graduate as well as very mature (at least as mature as I am), not to mention beautiful woman.
Our relationship lasted about a year. We met in my city. When I first saw her I felt compelled to approach her and speak to her. We really connected. She was in my city studying but was from the other side of the world. I did travel to visit her in her own country for a few months.
The biggest barrier was the fact we lived on opposite sides of the world.
Different life stages can be a problem. However I think it is not so much about different life stages. It's more about whether you want the same things in life, in the life stage that you are both in. Love is also important.
If for example, she wanted to marry and start a family I think it would have worked. Even though I was older than her I am very physically active and most people think I'm much younger than my age.
However she was not ready for that and things did not work out. But no regrets about being with her. I still have a soft spot for her.

I think he is a serious guy. He had a 10 years relationship, that ended some years ago because the other person wasn't loyal to him. After that, I know he had his fun times with the ladies. But I think he had enough of that already and maybe wants to settle down. He's a very funny, calm and open minded guy. I never told him I was interested, we're just friends.
Once in a convo with other friends, we were joking about how guys say "pretty things" to get what they want, and he said that he is honest about what he wants. I believe him tbh. I think he makes sure that we're on the same page if he just wants sex.

I'm sure plenty of guys in their 30's would be happy to date a 20 year old, but their probably just lecherous bastards in training. What's wrong with dating a nice guy who's your own age? What's wrong with looking for someone who is your equal? Yeah, another college kid like yourself will probably be more less just as broke and goofy as you, but so what. 10 years is really not much of an age difference when both people are a bit older. Barely noticeable when one partner is say, 28 and the other is 38. Or 38 / 48.
