I'm a normal guy and i know that i cant fight, so i carry a can of pepper pray in case someone attacks me. Some of my buds think its sissy for me to carry mace, is it normal??
Have you ever watched that series on TV called "Cops?" I have seen where law enforcement has pepper sprayed a perpetrator, and it just piss's them off that much more so watch out if you spray that on somebody you might really get your ass kicked!
Not only that you pull something like that out on the wrong person you might get a cap in your ass.
You're all doing it wrong. Strap some explosives to your body and conceal them by wearing a jacket. If anyone tries anything funny, just show them your goods. They'll defecate masonry.
well I'm a woman who carries pepper spray for obvious reasons...so my first reaction is no, because i'm most likely to need to protect myself against men so we don't want them to have it. but, as long as you promise not to use it to rape anyone...I think it's a good idea.

If you really can't fight, it's good to have some kind of defence. do judo too, it rocks.
If you don't know how to fight you should run away. it's a valid form of self defense and not cowardly in the least.
if you don't want to run, take self defense classes.
To learn how to fight FAST, i would recommend Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, tae kwon do, or krav maga (israeli martial art), in that order.
however, tae kwon do is probably the easiest school to find.
if you really must carry pepper spray, make sure to kick someones fucking head in after you spray them, cos then you look like you were just prepared, and a little crazy
you should go with a fork . whent the person asks for your money pretend to get your wallet or money out and when they come to get it off you , BAM, stab a fork in his eye.
if you dont want to carry a fork you could do the same but rip out his jugalar vein. works for me

a guy shuldnt use pepper spray, there was this fight after skool between this college guy and one of my bro's friends, my bros friend was kicking the shit out of him, then the cunt pulls out pepper spray and uses that, he was still losing so he called his friends to help him. I am from a country where it is not easy to carry a gun legally. I am trained in martial arts. However, in real life, there may be some situations where I won't be able to defend myself or my loved ones. Thus, it is always advisable to carry a pepper spray. It's better to have one than not to have one.
I carry a Glock around with me, and a taser, and a knife sometimes if I'm feeling extra unsafe. Believe me, it's normal.

i think is normal, but y dont u try learn how to throw punches and kiks. u dont have to go to karate classes or anything like tht, just watch some wresting stuff on tv or watch UFC. look at the fighters and how they throw punches. look at their kicks. stand in front of a mirror and try to duplicate those moves. i learned like that. im not saying i can kik anyones ass, but it does help. hope i helped. good luck.

Wow people certainly get caught up in tangents, I think it's completely normal, because regardless of if you can fight or not you don't know if they could overcome you, or something like that. It's good for safety.
i work for a university as security along with the police and we carry the hottest pepper spray that is made. in order to carry it you have to be sprayed with it and it is not fun, it took me an hour to even be able to force my eyes open and another hour just for the burning to finally stop. it is 1%% capsicum rated at 15 million SHU (which is what makes the spray hot) and it will fuck you up. anyone that says pepper spray is for pussies deserves to be sprayed with it and let them tell you it doesn't work as thy are choking for air and vomiting.
id rather get shot then hit with pepper spray again.

No, Pepper Spray / Mace is A great Protection, No one hets Seriously Hurt and There are no long term Effects, Just Ignore all of the Assholes who just Talk out of their Arse.

if you carry a gun make sure you know how to use it and look like you would if provoked. if you just stand there looking like a pussy with your gun shaking and shit the guy mugging you will know you'd never actually use it in a million years and probably just mug you anyway.
Pepper spray is for when you don't want to kill. Guns, clubs and knives are the other options. I believe that anyone willing to assault me NEEDS to die. They've shown they are a walking hazard to the health of me and mine. Conversely, I don't have the right to assault anyone either. I'd be giving them the right to kill me. --- I wear a dagger on my hip (legal in Indiana) and carry a tool knife and a fighting folder. As I get older and loose agility in my Kung-Fu I might start wearing my snub-nose.
I believe that learning to fight is important. I also see nothing wrong with a man having pepper spray handy. I have a can myself. It's a mans pepperspray and contains teargas. I also carry a knife with a serrated blade and I do reccommed buying a gun as well.
Of course it is normal for you to carry pepper spray. I cannot fathom why everyone worries so much about what people think of them. Think of it this way; would you rather carry pepper spray just in case, or would you rather get possibly jumped, kidnapped, killed, or a$$ raped. It really is not that tough a decision. Just tell your buddies that if they tease you again. Or just spray them with your mace. ;]

I'd think twice before acting on anything anyone says here regarding a weapon. Pepper spray is good, but can backfire on you if the wind is wrong, or it can get taken away from you and used against you. Some people have recommended learning how to defend yourself. Krav Maga is pretty good for the street; I know some myself. It's easy to learn, and remember, you don't have to be 100%% right with the moves, since it's intended for the real world, and you don't have to study it for years like many martial arts. I know an instructor who told me of a cop who was attacked by some butthole during a traffic stop. The guy came at him with a knife; the cop used his KM, and not only disarmed him, but knocked him unconscious. Street fighting isn't supposed to be fair. There are some sick puppies who like to fight; I don't. I'd rather finish a fight with a kick in the jewels, than stand there and duke it out.
If you live in a country where you can't carry guns legally, then yeah, by all means, it's normal.
Pack a pistol! Pepper spray isn't going to do much against another gun but at least if you have a firearm you stand more of a chance. MOST states have certain concealed carry permits although the laws very somewhat from state to state. Think how much less crime there would be if criminals had the threat of knowing that a large percentage of the public was armed. Just don't be stupid with it.
Anyone can carry a gun its having the knowledge and the balls to use it and if your not prepared to fight someone hand to hand you wont have the bottle to pop someone. Either take self defence classes or make sure your home before the street lights come on...
If it makes you feel safer, do it. I'm 6'1, 190lb and I'd think twice about attacking a guy with pepper spray.

lol I used to carry pepper spray to school but it was only because my dad obligated me to. I wouldn't of used it if i got in a fight though, i would have tried my hardest to win and then got my ass beat.

get a pocket knife, guns are to big to carry around all the time, and using pepper spray is really, REALLY low.
