How many of you have gotten into a relationship with a girl who is a far cry from who you would like to be with.

Why would anyone do that? Being single is a great state to develop new skills, learn things or just make more money. I find any type of relationship a massive compromise in my lifestyle. So if I'm already willing to sacrifice something for this, my partner better be worth it.
You left out settling for a girl that's beautiful with no brains. That is what is really settling in my opinion.
i wouldent call it "settling" but i would rather be with a girl whos "plain" but really intelligent and has a personality similar to mine over a hot chick who doesnt. i found out as i got older that many of the women i tried to ask out had almost nothing in common with me (even though i was friends with most of them) i also find that girls who are "my type" are also a lot harder to come by than those who are out of my league. i still go for those closer to me cause i know i will be happier with someone i share a lot in common with
@Brandon17 Well its true isn't it? To different degrees. In every relationship one person settles, another reaches. But then it can change and switch.
I have heard in each relationship one person settles, and the other person reaches (out of their league). Both to to varying degrees.
@Ne'er-do-well Of course we settle. There is always someone that was our 1st choice that didn't like us back.
And @mightymouse I agree with you. Usually the beautiful without brain lover begins to look quite unattractive after awhile., But when I said attractive I meant the whole package: beauty, brains and how comfortable I am around them.
