Guys: are you put off by really smart or powerful women??

Depends on her personality. Being smart is okay, but if she's also a smartass... Well, you get the point.

No. I actually, want to find a woman, who is at least of moderate intelligence. Who doesn't go off, chasing cock all day, and who doesn't act like a spoiled child.

It would have been telling if there were a choice of:
"Intelligent, but not more intelligent than me."
Isn't that what most men want? That's what I was taught about men's preferences in my Sociology class. It doesn't seem nice, but statistically it's true.

Intelligence is a great thing, but ultimately it's how she uses it that would decide whether she would appeal to me. If she can be constructive about it and help me out when I have problems and criticise me constructively when I need improvement in some things, I would really like that, but if she decides to use that to trample all over me, then I wouldn't like it. I'd rather go out with someone very intelligence rather than someone very dumb. I need a bit of challenge too!

Intellegence is quite a turn-on for me. I want a woman I can have an intelligent conversation with (And has some good moves in the bedroom!). Most of the time, people in a position of power are selfish, greedy assholes who will do anything and step on everyone else to get to the top.(Survival of the biggest assholes in the corporate world!)In that rare case that said powerful woman is nice, that wouldent bother me at all. In fact I would like it! If one of us were to lose our big jobs, the ones income would keep everything going while the other one looks for a job with someone else.

I generally need intelligence as a prerequisite. Most of my friends want someone less intelligent than them so they can somehow dominate them or feel superior. And then all they do is moan about lack of intelligence in their partners. As for power, I'm not too bothered either way. I went out with someone who was slightly famous (it ended because she was way older than me, not because she was famous). It was never an issue, though. Actually, quite the opposite because she was famous for something I'd love to believe I'm good at. And she thought I was good at it.

It's fantastic that we can finally talk about successful women and the issues that may arise from that. It's been a long time coming.

Smart Women and successful women do not bother me. A woman I knew and had a crush on for a while is a really intelligent Gemologist. She was very fun to talk to and knew a lot of things about a lot of things. When she moved to England, I was devastated. She moved there to work in a jewelry factory.

Pushy women though, I cannot STAND them.

Call me a chauvinist...whatever...but I do not like someone who is pushy in the first place but I like it even less if they are a woman who is doing it.

No because you can not hold a political or complex discussion with them. Like why love is tragic and it is truly touching watching lovers die for each other. That liking this does not mean twisted.

I am 27yrs old now, and I'm sick of dumb-ass girls that think they can go through life using their twot to manipulate guys. I now prefer a woman who knows how to act like a grown woman, and the more money she makes the better. Those airhead girls drive me crazy with there near-retarded conversation, looks are everything attitude, and smart-ass remarks that hardly ever make sense. I want a woman that prefers to make a living using her brain that intead of giving brains. Why do so many chicks walk around thinking they are the one chick in the world everyone should be paying attention to anyway?

I don't think success is guaranteed by your intelligence. A good schmoozer will be more successful then a socially awkward genius with no ambition.

Depends, actually. Intelligence is a plus no matter what. Everyone would love that.
But powerful? Depends. If they're a sucessful writer or work for NASA, as you say, that's amazing. But if they're the CEO of huge corperation....I wouldn't like that. I'd just think about all the people she probably fucked-over.
