Honestly, I don’t understand platonic male-female relationships. It’s either she puts you in the friend zone of you’re just gay. How can a straight guy be friends with a woman? It works in theory but in reality it’s quite rare.

If she is just a friend, and only a friend, then if you get a hard-on in your pants (which, in all likelihood, she will not be looking down at your crotch anyway... since she is a 'platonic-friend,') then I don't believe you will ever have to worry about her noticing it…
However, IF she did, it would (or at least, theoretically, SHOULD) Not matter the least bit to her, no more so that if you were with a best buddy of yours. If it were noticed by her or your good guy friend, then it would be more of a joking matter and not a sexually offensive issue.
Sounds like you are not really sure just where the boundaries really are between you and your female friend... at least not with 100% certainty... that, or she might not be...

Depends on the person and the nature of your friendship. Maybe she's comfortable enough that if she noticed she might point it out and just laugh about it but she could also think it's for her and be uncomfortable with it. Best to just hide it and not mention it
