Growing up?

I've had a best friend for eight years now and last year, when we were just going into high school, his parents told him he'd be going to a different school a "classical academy" and ever since he has started to change and thinks everything apart of my life is stupid. For example my school my friends, me and even my hobbies and my favorite bands. he started saying i need to listen to more classical music when i like things such as blink-182 and stone temple pilots. And for some reason i get the feeling he wants to be like me like when i started to learn the guitar, a few months later so did he. is it normal to be annoyed by this??

Sounds like he's become an intellectually shallow snob. You should tell him that he should listen to music that actually resonates with him rather than whatever he's being taught about at the time. lol, what a sheep right?

You are supposed to be 18 on this site. That said, at your age, identity issues - who you are, want to be, should be, can be etc. - are normal and can be a confusing issue. He seems kind of confused. So just thank him for his opinion. Do what you want. And let him sort himself out.
