Green seems to be symbol of money but what about non green money?

Not all money is green but it is in some countries. However in some countries the currency is red, orange sometimes even blue. For these countries does green symbolize money or do you use something else to mean riches or money?

green it use to all be green and white until people started counterfeiting it and then you have the silver certificate notes too with blue, but those are old notes and something to save or hold on to.

I associate green, blue, or red because in England, the 5 pound note is green, the 10 pound note is red, and the 20 pound note is blue and the 50 pound note is also red.

I'm from a place that has green money (U.S.A.) and I thought green emphasized being environmentally friendly (Go Green and all that stuff).

The first thing that comes to my mind with the word green is environmentalism. Then green with envy. I don't usually associate the color green with money. Money is silver or gold.

I see green as money I even call money green sometimes which is weird because only our 20 dollar bills are green. Hmmm.
