Govt + big business is normalising us to think that gambling is ok?
Our Australian government, our Queensland + other state governments and the big gambing industries are actively advocating and fostering the growth of online gaming, pub+club gaming, casino gambling, animal racing gambling and people sports gambling in our communites and worldwide.
Gambling invitations are now hugely in our faces on TV, print and social media - even the media that our children are exposed to.
Businesses such as SportsBet, SportingBet, Tatts Bet, Tom Waterhouse Bet invite us to bet on anything.
Our Lotto + Golden Casket that originally financed our great health systems has recently been sold to private profiteers.
Currently over $20b of wealth is transfered out of our communities yearly around Australia and causes over $20b of damage + repair costs to our communities yearly.
This annual community loss can only increase due to the required increase in gambling and recruitment of new gamblers that must happen to support the growth in the gambling and racing industries that many of our disconnected community leaders are currently advocating for and currently abusing their community leader positions with arrogance to implement this growth - knowing that they have not involved our communities in decision making, knowing that our communities do not approve and knowing that it will not enhance the wellbeing of our communities.
Imagine how much greater, healthier, wealthier and debt free our country would be if these funds were kept circulating within our communities in productive ways.
Do we want our younger generations and children to grow up thinking that gambling is OK?
Is it normal for our communities to be normalised to accept that the exploitation of humans and animals for big gambling profits is OK?
