Got almost no sex drive at age 43

I am 43 year old guy, I can not get an erection, like at all anymore. I have thought of hooking up with a woman but I know that I won't be able to get an erection while with her or be able to have sex. I've also tried to see if I could get an erection from watching porn, but I can't. I'm basically dead below the waist now at age 43. I have some other health issues too like I've been taking medication for high blood pressure for about 12 years, I don't know if that's related. I go to methadone clinic, don't know if that's related either. Either way, my sex drive is almost dead at age 43 and has been now for several months, and has been low for a few years before that, is that normal?

    • I'm not overweight. I just have the other health issues and medications that I take which probably explains why I have trouble getting erections. I watch porn to try and get erect but I can't, that also makes me know that I won't be able to get erect if I'm with a woman. She's not going to want to stay with a guy who can't get it up. Unless, I can find a woman who just wants the company and doesn't care much for sex, but most women aren't going to want to stay with a guy just for companionship and not sex, are they?

    • Yes, I was addicted to oxycodone for a long time, which is why I started the methadone clinic. I have read how that dampers sex drive also. Some of it is me having high blood pressure and taking meds for that for years. Some of it is probably my age also. Sex drive peaks in guys in their late teens and early 20s, and it's simply been a 20 year long downhill slope since. But, I'm not denying that methadone and opiate addiction hasn't been part of the reason as well.

Well, then you need to get in shape if you want to function normally, because it's probably the high blood pressure medication that is causing the erectile dysfunction. Lose weight, get plenty of cardio

    • I'll try that. I've been in denial about my very low sex drive too, but I guess denial happens when people have a problem. I'll try improving some of my health habits like you said. I may see a doctor about it too, they say erection disfunction and almost no sex drive can also mean an underlying health problem, I may have another health ailment that I don't know I have.

    So you're a heroine addict.
We don't need you trying to breed.
Don't you have nicknames for heroine like sweet sugar or something?
She's you're girl now, and you're her bitch.
