Going up stairs in my house

Is it normal If anytime day or night if im downstairs alone and I go upstairs My stomach shoots in my throat and I run up because i thinks something is chasing me?

    I feel that way when i'm going from being in the dark to a room with the light on. Like when I go from a black hallway to my bed room! It scares me sooooo bad!!! Lol

    It's totally normal. I thought I was the only one who did that, but I talked to some of my friends about it recently and it turns out it's pretty common. I'm not scared to be in the basement at night, I'm only scared when I have to go up those stairs. I think it's because my back is turned so if someone/thing were behind me, I would stand no chance of saving myself.
