Human arrogance and stupidity abound on this issue. I don't really care if it is or is not a man made phenomenon. The reality is that we have no connection to our life source, the earth. Climate change is real.

People think they can strip it of everything and pollute the waters and it won't have an effect on us. Global Warming is a tool. God has this whole situation under controll. If global warming is true, then God will have a plan because he always does things in our lives for the better.

Ok so I am not sure on the validity of this report however there was a report not too long ago stating at least 2 of the leading scientists were bought out to force facts and push inconclusive data that shows a human-impacted global warming. These scientists weren't American. Anyone can be bought if the price is high enough. Keep that in mind when a politician of any party starts to through science in the mix. Politicians are slimy brilliant liars.

Nushki, just who exactly are these profesionals who have studied this problem all of their lives? Would those be the same profesionals that work for the U.N.? Maybe Al Gore or the western European governments? Anyone who calls themselves a progressive? Get back to me on this...

We are at the end of an ice age. What should the earth be doing other than warming. Wait another 10,000 years and it will cool again and the glaciers will return and cover the earth to somewhere around Kansas then everyone will be complaining about Global Cooling. It is less than 2 degrees in the last 100 years why do you think we will be destroyed in 10 years.

Global warming is a scam. There is NOTHING global about it. Places cool over time, and places warm over time, get over one of the facts of the world. Maybe we cannot deny global warming even though the best estimate of the pro warming people is only 2 degrees in 100 years however we can look at the cause and just maybe it is because we are at the end of an ice age and the globe should be warming

Earth's climate goes through cyclical phases. A few decades ago, people were "absolutely sure" we were going into an ice age.

The earth's total climate change thus far has been a whopping one degree. That's it. One degree. Farenheit.

An example of retail is that I work in a bookstore- and every day 100 pounds, no joke, in my small store alone, of paper get thrown out. There are 3000 stores in the country in that company. Then there is the 10000s of other stores, with selections 100 times greater... thats a whole lot of fucking trees.

The .7 is not from us by the way. The Earth has cycles that we dont understand all the way. The earth gets hot then it gets cold then it gets hot... so on.

If the amount of co2 we put into the atmosphere in the 20th century caused a .7C increase in temperature...

then how much will what we'll put into the atmoshpere this century raise it by?

LoL someone has been watching to much of the Discovery Channel and their climate change commerical they show every 5 minutes to brain wash people. The temp as went up .7 degrees in the last 100 years. Mans CO2 out put has not been enough to make one difference in the climate anyone who buys into this has failed to research the subject. Global warming was made up by industry hating Liberals and they have collected bank from it.

The ecology of our planet earth goes through turns. There have been several ice ages throughout history that scientist are able to pin point. The ice shelves of the north and south pole expand and contract as a matter of course throughout history.

The biggest single cause of man made polution/global warming IS NOT what we as individuals do, it is down to industry. If every human did his/her bit to help, it wouldn't make as much difference as shutting down one coal fired generator of electricity!

Yes, we should all do our bit but, until you get countries like America and even more so, China to adapt their industries to a less poluting form, we may as well not bother as individuals.

The most relevant thing to global warming, as the scare mungers like to call it, is the magnetic fields of this planet. Most of you may not be aware of it, but these are going through the throngs of changing so that what we now recognise as magnetic north, will no longer be in the northern hemisphere but in the southern hemisphere. THAT is the biggest factor in the weather changes we are seeing at this period of evolution. There is a school of though that claims this is what took this planet out of the last ice age and the current transformation from the north to the south will actually plunge us into another ice age.

That is a completely different synopsis from global warming.

As the ice caps currently melt, they are releasing gasses into the atmosphere that we cannot control. THEY are what are causing the hole in the ozone layer, not our activities, although we are certainly contributing in a small way.

Industries in australia and Im sure worldwide are trying to do their bit but it takes time and money. All of us should do a little bit to help. These companies make the products we use and cannot and should not have to go without so whatever small things we can do will help dont just pass the blame onto someone else we are all to blame for this

I think the only things that will save us are majot new technologies like advancements in solar power, or effective waste disposal.
Also, changes in retail and education materials. Large scale stuff.

I was just thinking about global warming today, and I thought why are we the ones that get blamed for global warming? we don't make the cars, and obviously it the emissions that cause most of global warming. I could choose to not drive i guess, and be an annoying old cat lady living on social security. I also thought about something some guy told me about how in the bible it says that in the "end times" the weather will be weird. Older people tell me they never remember it being so hot, and it's like 70 degrees here, when normally its suppossed to be like I dunno 35. So in other words, if they want us to stop global warming, why can't whoever makes the product do the dirty work for us?
