Girls: why do girls pull the ducklip pout in photos?

I'm not sure why girls do this, as every guy I've spoken to thinks it looks ridiculous. But I'm trying to understand it because it baffles me and it's so common now.

It sucks in the cheeks giving them a more refined look 8
To give a lusciously thick, sultry lip look 5

      Depends on the girl my friend. When a girl texts you a photo of her pouting, while wearing a bra her Double F's are trying to escape out of, you tend to think otherwise.

    I've never seen a girl do this non-ironically. I would guess the one's that do do it do it to (what an odd sequence of words, "do do it do it to" :P) accentuate the lips, or because some people find pouting cute.

    Although I don't find it attractive, I don't see why it invokes such strong emotions in people or why mocking it is so popular :P

    I've never duck pouted before. I don't plan to either. I think it looks strange and I don't understand it.

    It's just a goofy face, that tends to be a reaction to a camera lol, I've been guilty on occasion. Like crossing your eyes for a funny photo. I.just.don't.know. Then it wass over done, like many things in society. So like a normal reaction, people sart to make fun of it to bring shame upon those who do it, in order to make it stop so some new thing can be done.
