How old are you, out of curiosity? It seems like an odd question for someone over 14 to ask (no offence intended).

It's nice to be asked out by someone who you fancy.

It can be flattering, but also awkward or even unpleasant to be asked out by someone who you have no interest in.

I can't say how many times my "friends" tried to hook me up with a guy and it turned out to be a mistake. Moral of story don't let your friends dictate who you should or should not date, unless they have some legit reasons. Ask her out already! Don't listen to your friends. I have an absolutely gorgeous boyfriend and my stupid ass friends tell me he's unattractive CONSTANTLY. It's just cause friends can be severely retarded sometimes. Ignore them. Beauty is subjective. Don't drop it like a bomb on her... at least build up to it. Girls dont like to be caught off guard too much. But heck, life's too short to be shy. It is your friends opinion wether he finds her attractive or not but his opinions shouldn't affect your feelings.

Don't be scared to talk to her. Just go up to her and ask her out. Be like," Hey, I was just wondering if you'd like to go out sometime. Wherever you feel like" from there something should happen.

If you keep dodging her in person and being too afraid to ask her out your chances are slowly fading in the naked eye. You never know what had until it's gone

I've been in the situation where some of my friends constantly made fun of this girl, whom I had a pretty big 'thing' for I suppose but I didn't want to do anything about it in the fear that my friends would transfer this teasing to me.
