Girls; i need help with my hair!

I used to love my hair, it was once long and healthy. I had it cut to about my shoulders and a bit less at it's shortest point, I had layers, but eventually got rid and I am trying to grow it. All I have is face framing layers.. But not too high. But it is always split specially where the layers are around the front, all my hair is breaking so each strand is a different length, the look of it is awful it's so dry and horrible.
Now to point out I swim a lot, and use a hair dryer every day nearly. But I look after my hair or at least try. I've tried split end stuff and the heat protect spray. But I look in the mirror and brush my hair and see each strand is all different it upsets me.

I went to a hairdresser a while back April may, maybe and she cut it, it felt better but it was still split? I don't get it :(

I'm just a dumb guy, but even I can tell you the hair drier is most likely the cause of your hair troubles. Chlorine in a pool isn't any better. Try swimming in saltwater instead and lay off baking your hair.

This is going to sound really strange coming from a guy, and the remedy is also going to sound strange. But...

Go buy some rum with high alcohol content, the highest you can buy.
    Gather some eggs together.

Step one: pour about a cup and a half of rum into a bowl.

Step two: take 3 eggs and crack them, gently, into a seperate bowl.

Step three: remove the egg yolks.

Step four: put the remaining egg WHITE, into the bowl of rum.

Step five: mix the egg whites and rum, thoroughly.

Step six: gently comb the mixture into your hair, starting from the scalp and work your way to the end.

Step seven: rinse, DO NOT WASH WITH SHAMPOO, not until the next day.

I've used this remedy to repair frail hair and split ends. It may sound gross, but its healthy for the hair and scalp. I have really thin hair might I add, and my hair breaks rather easy, but with this, it has strengthened my hair, ten fold.

You should probably lay off the heat styling for a while and go to your nearest beauty supply store to purchase a good deep conditioner.

First off the first guy to comment has a point, blow dryers fry your hair. I had a problem similar to your but it was a combination of washing my hair too often, blow drying, dry heat everyday, and swimming in my chlorine pool. I use that Wen by chaz dean product and it really helped my hair but what gets you better results is to wash your hair every 2-3 days, do NOT brush it out when it's wet because it breaks your hair, shampoo and condition but don't use too much or else you'll get build up and whatnot. You're supposed to trim your dead ends off every few months too.

I used to have this problem so what you need to do is to trim your hair every 4-6 months, don't wash your hair every day. Argan oil is amazing for hair growth you can buy it at sephora, just apply it twice a week and your hair will look shiny and healthy.

Swimming cap, hair oil, weekly protein mask, trim every six weeks. Sounds counter intuitive but your hair won't grow if it's split, the hairs just break off further down the line and look awful. It'll take a little longer but with regular cuts you'll have healthy growth. And invest in a bottle of moroccan oil. I have fine hair which I used to bleach white blonde and it did wonders for me.

For your split ends, use conditioner. Just conditioner. Not mixed with shampoo or nuthin. If you want it super sleek and soft ( as long as it's not colored) leave it in your hair overnight. It did wonders for me. I went from my natural black hair to white in a week and a half. And when I used to get my hair wet, it would Matt together Untill I put conditioner in it. After that, my hair has been silk.

Apply hair oil if your hair is dry.

  • maybe the hairdryer is drying or harsh everyday , stop blowing everyday , maybe only on special outings and as thatgirl says the coconut waits to caress your hair

When you are buying shampoos and conditioners make sure they DO NOT have any sulphate in them because it is not good for your hair. I would recommend doing some oil treatments. Coconut oil is my favorite, simply take the coconut oil and work it through out all of your hair and let it sit for at leased 20 minutes. I would also recommend biotin you can purchase it at a local drug store. It's basically a vitamin to help your hair grow and grow healthy, your nails to grow, and it nourishes the skin. I love biotin because it made my hair grow fast. Also if your going to use biotin I recommend the 10,000 mcg. Also be sure to not brush your hair after you shower because when your hair is wet it's weak and it can cause more split ends when you brush it like that. Please use a comb instead. Also be sure you're getting enough fiber.
