Girls: how often do people call you pretty/beautiful/attractive/etc.?

I was wondering how often girls get called pretty. I get called pretty/beautiful/cute/attractive quite often whereas other girls I know whom I consider to be goodlooking rarely get told they look nice. Is it common for young girls to be called beautiful?

Never 19
Rarely (once or twice in my life) 35
Sometimes (every couple of months) 58
Often (at least every month) 72
Very often (once a week) 112

Doesn't matter how many compliments a girl gets if she doesn't believe them.

I think once you get to a certain age, it starts to slow down. Girls and guys often compliment each other quite a lot in high school/middle school. I think everyone's hormones are just whacked out.

  • Depends. Some people think they should call ugly people pretty, but don't have the guts to say it to the real attractive people. But, some people do have the guts.

Once a week. Although the compliments vary. Mostly I get told I look like a doll, or an anime character. That compliment makes me wonder, though, of what they meant. Was it that I'm pretty, or do I creep the fuck out of them? Haha.
I used to get complimented on my eyes a lot, when I was little. Now that I'm older, people stare in my eyes for a second, making me feel uncomfortable. They ask in an accusing voice, "Are your eyes CONTACTS?" When I answer "No," they give me a slight dirty look, and then smile and say, "Well, they're very pretty." Is it that uncommon to have blue eyes? Haha. I know bunches of people with blue eyes, and they say they've never had this happen.

Very often but honestly that doesn't mean shit. People always get complimented on their looks, especially girls.

Online I get told I'm pretty, but in real life I'm very shy so I don't get a lot of compliment. Every so often I'll get told I look nice or something by people but not very often. Though even when I get compliments I don't really believe them, I just think that people say it to be nice but don't actually think I'm pretty or look nice, am I making sense?

i get told a lot and not just my boyfriend. i love the ones from my bf and friends but when strangers say it i feel creeped out a little and don't know how to feel about them and weather they mean it or just joking.

Occasionally, when I go out, but never from my peers. I usually get compliments from slightly older friends to adult acquaintances.

I'm a guy and I dish out very few compliments. Not because I'm an asshole but because when I do give someone a compliment it is because I care and I want them to know that. Supply and demand, supply and demand
