All my previous girlfriends have said they liked me "because I'm stupid". I'm actually intelligent in some ways but I'm told most people don't see that until they really get to know me. All my ex's claimed my "stupidity was cute" although it seems that doesn't last because they eventually break up with me.

I was thinking the same as ItDuz. Stupidity is not attractive, but if I mean it as in silly, God yes! I love silliness!
No, but I have the same problem you do. My IQ is 165 but unless I am in a reading phase, I don't use big words. I also don't debate as much as I did in youth or , with philosophize....this is only because I realize that these are grey areas and can see where almost any exception for the rules to be broken, with some exception....and of course, like everyone else, I think I'm right. Yet my lack of participation is usually taken as apathy or lack of thought or worse ignorance of the subject, when really I just know too much and my answer would take to long to explain and they wouldn't understand or something....I am just polite, OK? I am proud of my humility! And I like to listen. Unless maybe I am drunk, and I hate alcohol anyway
In conclusion I try not to form quick opinions on weather someone is smart or worth knowing, and this has either taught me not to be able to discern anymore or is evidence of what I learned in college, that there are many varieties of intelligence
Silly stupid can be fun but genuinely stupid embarrasses me in public and makes me feel lonely when we're alone together. Yuck!

Personally, I've found people with LD (learning disablities) to be cute and actually interesting.
When you say absented minded people, my first thought goes to air-headed people, or people who daydream a lot, and again, I don't have a problem with those types of people either.
To answer your question simply, yes, I like guys like that, but I wouldn't prefer to them as 'stupid.'
I used that term because I was just quoting what they said. That's why I mentioned I am intelligent but I do come off as "stupid" to others until they get to know me. I'm not mentally retarded but I am autistic and schizophrenic. I have no idea how I come across towards other people unless they tell me but from the conversation I had with an ex this weekend who said she liked me for those reasons and my other ex's have said the same thing. I think absent minded is a pretty descriptive term for how I come across.
I am attracted to smart guys but I have stupid friends. Being stupid is a lot better than being many of the things that people are.
My ex was kind of... well. Stupid. He was dopey and didn't understand the simplest things. Can't say I'd want to date that again. I guess it's cute in a way though

No, I wouldn't like a guy who is stupid. If a person likes someone to be stupider than they are, this is usually a sign of some controlling tendencies, as a stupid person is easier to manipulate. However, some people who aren't native English speakers use 'stupid' when they mean 'silly' or 'funny' so if English was their second language, it's possible they meant something different.
If you mean stupid as in silly like ItDuz said then, yes. A silly, fun guy is always great. But if he is just flat out stupid and doesn't seem to have any brain cells what is so ever, no. I find intelligence to be a turn on. Stupid people tend to be annoying.
I voted no but that was prior to reading the comments. I was thinking you meant stupid as incapable to learning but doesn't. I think if you are differently abled girls may like it depending on your personality.
They probably found your absent mindedness endearing. I've never met someone who's attracted to low intelligence.
stupidity is cool but its tolerable only for little time.. after that it gets annoying and according to me then people start finding other qualities which if are absent, I might lose interest.
