I have been living with my girlfriend for over a year, she has been unable to hold down a job, even the most menial work is too much for her. She tells me she wants to be a stay at home girlfriend.... She knows I cannot support the both of us where we are and she suggests we move to another city, so she can stay at home. I dont know if she is just looking for a "free ride" or if she just cant hack it in the real world. Is it normal for a "modern woman" to sit on her ass all day while I support her?

    Most people hate work. If it were up to me I'd never work again either. But, I'm not stupid, a job is needed In order to hold down a place to live and food *shrugs* I understand her pov but she needs to get over it and get a job and keep it.

    I dont want to work either but I wouldnt do what she is doing. Like was said above, i dont think girfriends get to be stay at home unless the other is rich

    Leave herr while you can! :) My bf's mom has 4 kids & depends on the dad to do all the work while she sits on her ass, refuses to work & complains he's not a hard enough worker. Drives me crazy & it's not even my prob.

    I had a girlfriend like this. We dated for about 6 months. Eventually I just had to break up with her and find someone that wasn't so impossible.

    I'd say she's just being lazy.

    She can be a stay at home girlfriend when you knock her up and she needs to take care of your kid.

    It depends on what you want. If it were possible, it would be cool to have a girlfriend who's around whenever you want to f*** her. But she won't be contributing other than through sex, so it's your choice.
