Girlfriend did not buy me a gift for christmas

My girlfriend did not get me any gift for Christmas. Not even a card. I spent about $80 on hers.

Is this enough reason to break up with her?

    Is there a reason... does she have a job? Maybe she is short on money...

    The same thing happened to me, however, I did not dump them over that. Were my feelings a bit hurt? Yes, but it was not worth ending the relationship.

    However, if she keeps this up (You buy her stuff and she never does anything in return) then I would either have a talk with her, and if she acts like she doesn't care, then end it.

    Depends. Does she have a shortage of money? If not then I would say you should dump her. Relationships are supposed to be give and take...She's only got one of those parts nailed down and that one part being the only part she has nailed down is very telling of leech-like behavior. You're a wallet to her, my friend. Time to cash out.

    That's lame .. What about Cristmas sex? Did you at least get that? She should have got you something, though. That's pretty careless of her not to. :/

    I've pretty much already decided. Unless she changes my mind somehow in some way that I can't even fathom. There's a list of other reasons too that I've just been going along with but this pushed it over the top.

    She works and pays rent. She's not short on cash, at least I don't think she is. I told her that I got her a gift before Christmas and she said no, she didn't want anything. I asked her if she got anything for me and she said not yet and I was hard to shop for.

      Maybe she doesn't really do gifts in her family or maybe she hates the commercial aspect.
      You need to be honest and tell her you felt hurt that she didn't give you anything maybe you will get an explaination. At least find out if she values your feelings before you do her.

        Nah, she told me about the gifts she bought for her parents, sisters, and sisters' boyfriends.

          I don't get it then...that's just weird. Maybe she is afraid to make you think she likes you too much? But it would bother me too.
