Okay. So I have peachfuzz i guess you could call it. And its dark and everyone makes fun of my "mustache". Its embarassing! My mom says if i wax it now, it'll grow back thicker. Is that true? What should i do?
Wax it. Shave it. Lazer it. Bleech it. Thread it. Whatever you do just get rid of it!!!!
Okay I don't know what anyone else is thinking here by telling you to wax or shave it- trust me, do not remove the hair! You can actually bleach it so it's not dark and it will look fine. There's special facial-hair cream with bleach just for girls in your situation and it just takes about 15 minutes probably once a month.
Wax it!! You'll have to wax it every two to three weeks. Take a look around girlfriend!! Every woman with dark hair will have some kind of ' shadow ' there! Even fake blondes! It's normal ! Some have more than others! Bottom line is that you have it, wax it! It won't come back thicker. But if you leave it, the teasing will never end!! Look around!!! Trust me!!

a) shaving does not make it thicker, and it doesn't matter if you keep on shaving it anyway. even if you stopped shaving it, as long as you used a different method, it wouldn't be all stubbly and weird.
b) literally, so many women have this, just with some, it's more noticable. it's noticible on me, which I agree, can impact on your self confidence. I find that facial hair removal cream works best. It smells quite bad and can be a teeny bit painful- a kind of tingle- but it doesn't leave a rash or anything and comes with a moisturiser, you don't have to go out of your way to get it and it only needs doing every 2-3 weeks.
So don't panic until you start growing a beard ;)
Bleach is good,cause shaving leaves a funny feeling and you get red marks,and waxing makes it clear you have peachfuzz,cause it leaves small spots where the hair used to be,and hair removal cream is the WORST thing to do,because the skin around your face and especially where your peachfuzz is,so you could end up with MASSIVE scabs,which could get infected and lead to scarring.
So yeah,bleach is best :3
If it's causing you this much distress then wax it asap! Go to a good salon though or they can really mess you up. Honestly, I have super dark hair and lighter brown skin and I have a mustache that ppl have commented on. I also have crazy thick eyebrows and hairy legs. I know gross right? The reason I don't get teased and I don't look like a monster is b/c I have the the beat beautician in the world! Wax it all off! You'll be thankful you did. Oh and it won't grow back thicker and coarser if you wax it, only if you shave it. So DO NOT SHAVE IT. You'll be sorry. Good advice to see your doc too, unless it's hereditary like on my case.good luck!
One word if you shave your damn face ~ stubble ~ so you decide, wax = smooth, shaving = stubble!! You decide what's sexier!! I'm outta here!!

Peach fuzz is normal. You could wax it or you could shave it. Most people have hair everywhere. Just its more thin in some places. If you have dark hair the peach fuzz on your face is probobly going to be darker. Some men grow it very thick. So just get rid of the hair by shaving it.
I like a girl with a butch cut and mustache if it's blonde.

Wax it! Just keep up with it . Wax like every 2 weeks
I wax and when they start growing back I stweeze them then I wax after a week or so

I'm middle eastern and I got teased so much when I was younger about my mustache and my eyebrows. My mom was so strict that I had no choice but to keep it. One day I defied her and actually shaved it but kids made fun of me for shaving! Lose lose situation there. But my advice to you would be to wax or thread it. Threading last longer. The only thing that makes it grow faster and thicker is shaving so don't do that!
OMG we have a case of another dumbledore.......... SHAVE IT!!! dont listen to yo momma listen to PEOPLE that know REAL SHIT. In a couple of years it might grow so plz dp everyone a favor and SHAVE THE DAMN MUSTACHE!!!!!!
wax it off asap. hair grow thinner after waxing them off for years.
better yet go laser blast them off!!! more permanent solution if you can afford it
Girl.. Save your nickels and have the laser hair removal method done... Is not that expensive and is permanent .... Is great .
I had that for a while, too. I shaved it off, and now whenever I get out of the shower I just go over it with a razor. I shower every night so theres no stubble. Juat make sure when you do it the first time ( If you do ) That you do it on a long weekend or something. You might get razor burn cause you won't be used to it. That way no one will see it :P Good Luck!
Do not shave it. I repeat so NOT shave your facial hair. There are products that you can use to lighten the hair that are usually easey to use. Do not shave it.
You could have a hormonal in balance i have Poly cystic ovarian syndrome and it causes peach fuzz b/c of the hormones being imbalanced
please wax it and dont listen to what your mom tells you..think about it if you DONT wax it it will continue to grow out longer and become more noticeable anyways
Hair doesn't come back thicker or dark wether you wax shave or what ever kind of hair removal. It's a myth because whe the hair first comes back it is short and prickly making it seem courser, and usually darker. But for females when it comes to the face waxing vs shaving is the best choice. There are also trimmers made for girls faces that would help bit only short term... It would be an every day to other day type of thing.
Don't shave it... Waxing is fine...in fact hair supposidly grows back thinner when you wax it...but I agree with the other posters to go see an obgyn first to make sure your hormone levels are ok
You probably have a condition called PCOS. Polycystic ovarian syndrome Your ovaries develop cysts which then produce testosterone causing the hair growth. You might also have irregular periods. Ask your Mom to take you to her gyno and they can help you
Some girls have more testosterone than others which can give you darker hair that grows unnormally in places it does on guys. If you don't like it I would go ahead and shave it or wax it. It may grow back thicker but you'll just have to keep up with it. Get on a schedule of when you shave or wax so it doesn't have time to grow back at all.
