Getting called a liar

Was at work and told my coworker a story to where he replied "yeah right, I don't believe you". This pissed me off and I responded with "Ok, well fuck you then." He then stated "wHy ArE yOu GeTtInG sO mAd?".

Do other people not get anrgy when telling the truth and being called a liar? For some reason it makes me angry. How can someone call another person a liar and then get surprised when they get mad?

    I had an experience like that. I was telling a story about a guy who stabbed a man in the eye for intentionally pissing on him at random off the roof of a bar. About a decade later the guy with one eye left jumped him with friends in an act of revenge but he just ended up getting his other eye put out out as well.

    The guy I told about it laughed with me, slapped his knee, then casually said, "If only that were true."

    He said it in this friendly, casual, still-laughing way as if I'd prefaced the story with saying it was a joke whereas I clearly said it was about someone in the area. I definitely found it highly offensive.

    Then I stabbed him in the eye. Ten years later he came back and jumped me with friends in an act of revenge but I just ended up putting his other eye out. I told someone about this. They laughed but then they said, "If only that were true."

    That was a mistake.

      Anyway, yeah that sounds infuriating. It's so needlessly annoying when they could just ask if it's a true story.

      I have one friend who frequently lies about stories being true, so I just silently disbelieve him a lot of the time.

      If you're not the type of person to lie about that, he could've just asked instead.

    Yeah. I find it annoying when people think I'm a liar. Then again, I've been in quite a few unbelievable situations in my life. I've made posts about then in the past. XD
