Does everyone need to learn how to lie at some point of their lives, or is honesty really the best policy?

The world will come to a big disaster if everybody will speak truth.
If you dont know why, think a litle.
please explain? i cant think of anything worse then what lieing has got us, the economy crashing, all the things wikileaks has polished such as dyncorp spending american tax dollars to reciut pedophiles and drug addicts to the afghan police and getting a warning rather then fine or fired or the public demanding them to be treated as terrorists
the cold war when both sides would have felt much safer if they just knew how much the other side was scared
the only time u should lie is when a child askes where babys come from and other minor and occasional times
Imagine if everything you privately think came out your mouth... Who wouldn't hate you?
If you could know all the truth then what's the point of you being here? Life's a big lie and you find the truth along the way. If you want to hear all the truth bury your self beneath all the honesty, because that's all you'll ever find. People are made to lie and lives will change of that. Don't be blinded by the truth, odds are they're just bigger lies created by smarter people.

if we all told the truth, there would be outrage at what had been hidden. Wikileaks is a prime example.
the world would definately be worse off if everyone spoke the truth. lying is a means of getting something you want, or a way to not hurt someone...either way, everyone lies.
There is such a thing as white lies you know. Haven't we all at some point gotten a gift we didn't really like very much, but lied to spare the person's feelings?

Lying is a key skill that everyone must have in life in my opinion. You'll get no where without it. Just think of it as simply disguising the truth with beautiful lace!
There are lies, and there is just not revealing a truth, which is never asked.
A lie, is an answer, a falsehood, given in the stead of truth. Refusing to speak on a matter, is not a lie.
Lies are unnecessary. Only the weak willed, feel the need to lie, about things. The brave, are willing to speak the truth, even in the face of danger. The weak, lie to save their own pathetic hides.
Lies serve no real purpose, but to confound, and confuse others. To anger, and enrage. So many relationships, are ended, due to lies. They are spiteful words, which should never be spoken.
I'd rather cut out the tongue of the liar, than listen to them, weave their words of mistrust.

Imagine what would happen if all state secrets were openly discussed. And nobody lied about nuclear missiles.
Remember wiki leaks a few weeks ago. There was very little material of MASSIVE consequence in there it was mostly tutting and shaming.
This would be 100000000000 x worse than this.
Lies were brought about by man. Perfection used to be in existence. Thank you man! (Yes this includes me.)
Is a smile and a brief nod still a lie? If can't say something truthful, this is what I do.
Lying is a part of natural life,you're going to use it and you can't do anything about it.
Remember:
It is not the act of lying itself that is bad,it's being caught lying in the process of lying.
Sometimes you need to tell a little white lie so you don't hurt someone, but make sure it doesn't go to far; for example in the movie Easy A lol =P
I couldn't live without lying. I believe in honesty and respect but above that I believe in self-preservation. Sometimes, I have to ( or believe I have to ) do it.
Also I'm an exceptionally Good liar and if I were to simply tell the truth all the time that'd be lying to myself. Kinda.

I don't lie on purpose.
Even the most honest person lies.The difference is:he/she doesn't know what he/she is doing.
He is convinced his lies are the truth.
And thinks about them as such.
To be a perfect liar you must believe your own bullshit.
useful but not necessary. i mean i try to be honest usually, i dont like lying. but sometimes a little fib is needed :)
