I read an article on the internet that most gay couples don't have anal sex. Does this statement surprise you as much as it did me?

It seems pretty obvious to me. Being gay doesn't mean you're attracted to anuses or want things in your anus. Even if you enjoy anal, there's probably limits to how often you can safely do it...tears, prolapse, loss of muscle control, UTI's, etc. Plus it can be a process to prepare for...or a mess afterwards... And who doesn't like a good bj?
It doesn't surprise me at all, that's been well known for decades from research, but I couldn't tick any of those boxes because I don't identify as either straight or gay
There are lots of things we have known for decades or centuries that the average person still won't find out unless he specifically searches for it. I'm expecting the poll to end with straight people being much more surprised by this information than everyone else.
I changed "gay" to "LGBT" just in case that was the problem.
I read somewhere that there's gay women too! And I heard somewhere else that they don't usually fuck eachother up the chute, but I could be wrong.
There's even a word for gays who don't engage in anal penetration: gouinie. I can't tell about the gay population as a whole, but I'm a gouinie myself, so I wasn't surprised.
