Gained 7 lbs in one week

I'm 5'3 and used to be 104 lbs, but I decided to try to get my weight up to 111 within the month. However, I ended up gaining it all within the first week! I didn't feel like I was stuffing myself, but I did start eating more and definitely more regularly. (A full 3 meals a day, while I used to only eat 2 slightly larger ones). Was I overeating? I felt comfortable, and have stopped gaining weight since (my weight stays around 111-112 lbs), but if losing 7 lbs in a week isn't healthy, then I doubt gaining them is. Is this normal? Was I starving myself before? Is this detrimental to my health?

    You could of course eat more lean protein and start working out with weights to build muscle.

    if you usually eat small amounts, your body will be used to surviving on a small amount of food and your metabolism slows down in order to conserve what body mass you already have. this usually leads to rapid weight gain if you suddenly start to eat more. if you continue to eat the amount you are now eating, you will gain weight for a while and then your weight will stabilise.

      I eat mainly lean protein like fish and brown rice. Also stuff like bananas and avocados. My weight tends to fluctuate a bit more than average, though; not sure why.

      I had a problem once gaining weight Light skin-ny Jew with Dark green eyes. Simply drink a quart of whole milk before I went to bed, helps with sleep as well and the weight went straight to the gut. Add chocolate syrup for increased effectiveness.
