Friend gets mad over me not texting them back. end of friendship.

I did not text this person back after they asked to hang out. Too tired from work. Just so happens, this person works with me also. Stopped by the front desk, and there he is... he looks at me and says "you could have texted me back you know." I was like, "Bitch... I just worked a 16 hour shift and you want to hang out?" Anyways, I soon realized that he deleted me off facebook, and then nothing....

I hadn't know this person but for two months and he want to act like I am obligated to kneel down at his very will.... Is it normal for people to end friendships over petty shit like this?

    I'm assuming the text was out of the blue and you didn't previously say you'd do something with your friend that night. If so, they are over-reacting big time. I'd let them go. Sounds like high maintenance to me.

    If you knew him for only 2 months and he acted like this he did you favor by behaving like this. Different people define friendship in different ways.

    I completely avoid this kind of bullshit by not texting, EVER! I've got a perfectly good telephone that even has voicemail, in case I can't or don't want to talk to someone right then.
    This doesn't sound like a friend; more like a needy child. You are better off without this person in your life, IMO.

    I could probably understand if he knew you for like a year and ignoring him was a constant thing, but two months, one missed text and they cut you off? Forget about him and move on, OP. He's a drama queen that's not worth it.
