    You're not asking the right question. The question is how much are you willing to sacrifice to gain the respect and love of those that don't understand you.

    Everyone values individuality so most will choose freedom but the reality is that we all compartmentalize ourselves so the weak spots or oddities don't show.

      Your question is not as good as the OP's. TheGypsySailor doesn't understand anybody. Who would want love and respect for that crusty old lout? His wife 42 years his junior is sucking money out of him like a Chikungunya mosquito. He's just here to get used.

          This is a question of a profound nature. I have pondered it myself, wondering if I am more of a lunatic than the average half scums that ogle at spandex females in health clubs. Seems to me that I went thru three phases.

          1. Phase One was "Noble Purpose". After a week, it seemed like a commitment to self-improvement was paying off. I thought enlightening thoughts, mental discipline and insightful wit improved, and I was driven by values rather than baseless gut impulses.

          2. "The road becomes weary." Yes, people notice your changes and begin to look up to you, but your animal impulses yearn to be released. You start to feel like an incomplete person.

          3. "Back to the shithole". You find that if re-accept your crude impulsive humor, and salacious viewpoints, there is a freedom that calms your entire existence. Where else to share that freedom? IIN of course. Everyone here, even the GypsySailor farts, belches, and enjoys being saturated in filth like a pig rolling in shit.

            Couldn't have said it better. It's it's like a drug you came back to. I like it here cause the site is user moderated but the only time the mod will actually step in is at the end of your two month period he'll change the pass on your account not allowing "down voting" privileges.

            Anyways, this site wouldn't be fun with out trolls. Like, you cannot have god without having the devil. Can't have one without the other.
