Found out my sisters best friend has been stalking me since jr high

Just found out my sisters friend is a stalker my sister told me that her friend has been doing it since jr high.

They aren't friends anymore because my sister felt that their friendship wasn't real and they were very close.

I don't know how to feel about this it's sad that my sisters friendship is ruined but at the same time her friend stalking me doesn't seem all that bad.

I didn't even know she was doing it until I was told and as far as I know she isn't a threat and hasn't caused any issues.

Now yes it's creepy and scary but I'm suprised that she was doing that there was a time that I liked her but I thought she didn't like me.

I'm currently dating someone who I love dearly and I wouldn't leave her for anything and I have spoken to my gf about it and she seems worried.

What should I do as far as I understand she is still stalking me so should how should I deal with it?

I would like to talk to her about it but I don't know how she would react to it.

It shouldn't bother you. 11
You should be worried and should contact someone. 16

Dude, stalking, no matter the context, is a violation of privacy and should not be tolerated.

That's what my gf said and I kind of agree but she isn't hurting anyone.

Isn't hurting anyone YET. Gotta keep in mind, obsessive behavior, especially from someone who knows where you live, is an extremely high risk factor.

True from what I understand it could get worse but she has been doing it for years and she hasn't done anything to really worry about.

She's hurting herself right now, and it could get worse. You know and you're allowing it, and so you're enabling her. This is even worse if she knows you know. You have to say: no. You cannot allow this. It's not only detrimental to her, it's dangerous for you and your loved ones.

I'm planning on talking to her soon like you said it isn't mentally good for her but I'm not sure if it's a good idea chances are she will say she isn't doing it.

Even if she denies it in front of you, you still need to make a stand

You should not have brought up the subject with your gf. From experience i get into trouble bringing up anything from before meeting a new gf or whatever.

Why no my gf could have figured out at some point so I figured it was best to let her know as soon as I was told.

    • Not really. I mean, whatever you make public on the internet is going to be watched. Some people will watch more than others. When you expose yourself YOU are responsible for the results. Don't get me wrong, I dislike stalkers and obsessed nolifers like that, but seriously, if you don't want that to happen you have to stop exposing yourself, you can't change the world.

She apparently isn't doing it over the Internet also thanks for the advice it was something I always found werid that people just put themselves out on the Internet.

It was something I was never really a fan of I don't even use Facebook or Twitter so it's all good.

I had an idiot that was stalking me in college, so I'm not a fan of stalkers.

Before reading the other comments I thought "it's just a crush" but now I'm also worried! Haha! I still guess it's an infatuation she has never had the courage to tell you about. Unless the stalking is not just online, which is what I assumed it was. If it is, just block her and don't bother talking to her about it. Nowadays it's quite normal and the use of the term "stalking" has become too loose to know for sure...

No it's not online she has apparently been physically stalking me.

I agree the word stalking is loosely used.

Sounds scarier than what I imagined at first. Please tell us if you do confront her, will you?

"Trust not the hoe"- Chad 12 13-21. I would doubt your sister's intentions tbh, all this time she was "stalking you" and your sister decided it was so benign that it wasn't worth telling you, but now that she's fallen out with her she tells you?

Let's say it is true dude, then just take it as flattery, unless you sister is a complete bitch, then she would have told you way before if it was dangerous. If it's true then probably just has a crush on you and is too timid to make a move.

You are right there are always two sides to a story that's why I want to her her ex friends side. But it's Doubtful that my sister is being a bitch it's hard to explain but if you knew her you get what I'd mean. Everyone loves my sister she doesn't cause issues with anyone and tries to avoid if possible her only flaw is that she is to damn nice. Also it was just something that never came up out of know my sister figured it out because her friend started acting more odd the usual. Again it's hard to explain but her friend is also nice but has always been kind of odd but most people around her don't think much of it.

What do you mean? she has been following me for years apparently when she was hanging out with my sister coming over to house using her as a way to be near me. It's one of the main reasons my sister stopped dealing with her. If that's what you mean.

Before my boyfriend met me he had a stalker. He said she was harmless until she tried to stab him on a subway train. He had a similar situation with a different girl a few years before that, but in that case she led that dummy into the woods. I guess I'm just saying please watch out. What seems harmless to you might lead to your end.
