Forgetting that i cook all the time?

I put my food on the gas, and it takes very long. I go to my computer, and instead of waiting 5 minutes I forget about it and think about it in 20/30 minutes. The water is everywhere! It happened just now, and it happened 9 times already in this past months. (I'm not a cooker, I'm just a kid) I cooked 8 times this past months.

    well, i'm not a kid, but it has happened to me plenty of times. my new rule, even though i hate it, is that when i am cooking, i don't leave the kitchen. i bring a magazine or book in the kitchen with me when i am cooking.
