For sound to have this effect?

especially in the case a loud bass and other low frequencies(the kind you can fell in your throat or skin)and sometimes even loud high pitches or continuous un identifiable sounds i feel intensely scared frightened to the point where i hyperventilate close my eyes and curl into a ball. sometimes it even goes as far a involuntary rocking, outbursts that are normally violent and i tend to be reclusive or do anything to get away from it most of the time i run or lock myself somewhere . i often fear that it might become self destructive in the future as i want to break things when i get this way. i guess it could be described as feral? mabye its a phobia i dont know.
is it normal for sound to take this effect on people?

Have you always been like this? Did something traumatic happen that may have started it?

Well yes, this is an extreme reaction.

I don't like loud music because I can't actually hear it. I don't "hear" bass but feel it. It is quite upsetting if I don't know where it's coming from, but not so upsetting that I freak out. It just makes my belly flutter and occasionally I get dizzy too.

My suggestion, get some ear plugs or avoid places with loud bass.
