For people who work in a school is it normal for school districts to hire only the most inept people who either have no background or business doing the work they've been hired to do OR have some kind of background in it, but are the most bat shit crazy people on earth. Is this normal for a school district to seem to hire the worst people they can possibly find on the planet?

It probably is normal. It really reflects on much America's educational standards have fallen.

Who else would they hire without a decent wage? Remember educators aren't paid well for the expensive degrees they obtain.

  • I think the people in the district make 6 figures... at least the directors and it seems like the directors have totally unrelated experience to what they were hired to do and little or no experience in education or anything practical to the position.

Since the US school system is actually a government sponsored child care system, why would the system need intelligent, capable employees or real teachers? Why pay for quality educators when education is secondary to the needs of the system?
In actuality, the janitor is about the only employee of most American school systems who actually has the title and does the work, for which he was hired. Even the food service employees are just peons, given the task of producing healthy food without the budget to do so.
