For people who live in america: what do you think of it?

I ask only people who live in the US because if you live somewhere else you automatically hate it.

I absolutely love it! God bless America. 25
I like living here. Some things could be better. 39
I don't care. I just want to get through my life. 11

  • We have an ILLUSION of freedom. I'm getting the fuck out as soon as I save enough.

The only reason you're allowed to even have an opinion is because you live in the US.
Nowhere is perfect, but the US is a consistent, strong place to live.

I used to hate my country, but it turned out it was George Bush being President. Seriously, It's not so bad. We're straightforward people, without the weight of longstanding traditions that we don't really need. The older I get the more I understand that we're not bad, Post 9./11, it was kinda scary fascist creepy.

I have a problem with everything having to be so "safe" and crap. Everything's a lawsuit waiting to happen. It's like you can't have any fun, everyone and everything is so legislated and outlawed and made so "safe". Doctors are afraid to practise, people are afraid to make anything....and so on. You literally can't do much of anything without fear of a lawsuit or it being illegal. Cities and towns and counties are soooo broke that they are arresting more and more people for stupid crap just to get the fine money.

Exactly! We have the "freedom of expression", but we can't say anything bad about anyone or risk getting sued by a company that already has more money than they know what to do with.

I would to emphasise the fact that all countries have their problems - it's not like the US should be classified as a write off.

And for the record I am not from the United States.

We have problems. Our government doesn't exactly represent its people. But it's full of opportunities. It's a place for adults.

Could be better, could be worse...ehh.
Know a lot of people from a lot of different places and we all agree that life is basically the same, regardless.
Notice, I said "basically", not "exactly" O_O

(POTENTIALLY) The best country in the world and I mean that without be patriotic. Our constitution and our form of government is damn near perfect compared to other governments in the history. But currently we are in a terrible spot, terrible leaders all voted in by STUPID people who believe anything the TV tells them. But thats the beauty of America is that all these things that are wrong with it right now can be fixed by us the voters (who are in essence the true rulers of the government).

  • It could be a lot better, people still have this idea that America is the best county but it's not any more. We need to change, things like univrsal health care would help a lot but the bigots won't allow " socialistic ideals" then if it's those ideas that let America prosper. That being said America still does provide a lot of great opportunities.
