So you know Instagram is a huge thing now. I like looking at girls, because I guess I can relate, but it sometimes depresses me because I'm always seeing really pretty girls and imagining what their life is like, and then thinking mine is shitty. I get really jealous when I see cute couples and I envy a lot of girls on there. Do all girls do that? Or am I just an insecure weirdo?
It's common. Just keep in mind that most thing we see on social media is shit draped with chocolate. Everyone wants to pretend they are something they are not. And in real life you would not even recognize the person to be the same as they are online. I've met and hung out with some people that are popular and admired online. Sometimes it's a facade. Regardless of which, it's common... There's always going to be someone prettier, someone richer and someone with a better life. Ditch Instagram for a while
Don't be so insecure. Everyone has something that is beautiful about them. Those are just pictures and for all you know they are portraying some wonderful life when really it isn't. That's why I hate social media, it's just a way for people to validate themselves. I'm trying to take my own advice and it is hard I know. The whole world is about comparing. You don't have to be apart of that.
On social media, hardly anyone shows off their life struggles. Don't let these cheery masks on the face of a darker reality fool you. No one has a perfect life or a perfect relationship. Find the beauty in your own life. :) I promise it's there if you truly want to find it.
