For a girl to get stronger in her legs faster then a guy.

My Boyfriend and I work out. He can bench press 275 pounds and I can only bench press 115 pounds (not bad I think). With the legs its a differnet story. He mostly does upper body lifting but does some legs. I do more legs than him. He can only squat parallel 195 pounds while I can squat 245. His upper body is very muscular (much bigger than mine) but my thighs are bigger and more muscular than his. So far my leg strength is increasing faster than his while his upper body strength is increasing faster than mine. Is this normal?

    If you can bench more than you can squat then you really need to reconsider your workouts and do more leg workouts

    how could u take care of yourself? with the strength of a man?? no you need your own!

    would the man being "stronger then the woman"
    really help in this situation?
    no it would not.
    Point is we need to fend for ourselves.
    I like being able to know i can walk down the street and take care of myself if something were to happen. if it really came down to it.
    We can be independent. We don't need a man they're just nice to have!

  • well duh! I mean, if y'all were both doing the same excersizes then that'd be a different story, but not that weird. if you are working legs and he is working upper body, then it is just obvious that you'd get stronger in your legs and he'd get stronger in his upper body. :P

    Yes madame it's completely normal. The male upper body strenght is way more advanced than the female one. Male are stronger than female so don't blame your man. Due to the fact that the have more testosterone in them which means more aggressiveness which equals to more explosiveness, speed and power. As well as a quicker CNS central nervous system finally the bone density. I don't know how tall is your man but Male can't take hits more than you do. Squat is the big daddy of all compound movements, it's surely the toughest out of them. Strengthen your glutes, hamstrings(romanian deadlift) and abductors,adductors ( elastic bands) for more power output on your squat. do some body weight squat to settle a foundation on your legs it helped me so much since I was 18.

    - What y'all need to do is to help each other bring the lacking parts of your bodies,help him bring out his legs. But don't go too hard on your upper body because female upper ain't designed the same, if you catch my drift. Keep it smooth, but do some dips, push ups and work on your front delts if you wanna bench more. Bench is a compound movement involving Delts, and triceps in other to push blood into the pectoralis muscles. strong women fought alongside men during WWII in the french resistance against the nazi. All I ever wish is to marry a strong beautiful woman. Help your man with his legs, with the exercises above a man with no legs is a bamboo tower easy to break. Have a happy life
