Fixing the immigrant laws and job crisis all at the same time!

When an illegal immigrant crosses the border generally they are deported. However they just want a better life so why not let them stay? However you can not let them stay illegally since they are not paying taxes. I have a solution. How about all these people who come into countries illegally they first round them all up and put them in one place. After do this make them a deal. Say "Create a company and make so many jobs and you can stay". Say it could be anything as long as they are good at it. If they need equipment give it to them. It could be something as simple as opening a food truck. If they succeed they get to stay, they created more job and they are all granted full citizenship. If not they are deported back. Generally these people do manual labour anyways. So why not tell them to teach some teenagers how to do this kind of work? Us it built on capitalism anyways. Why not find creative ways to fix the problems?

This is actually a good idea 4
I found some flaws with this idea 13
I have another idea 2

An interesting idea but in my opinion it is a short term solution.

We need to look at the root of the problem i.e. the reason why they immigrated.

I'm assuming you are referring to the Mexican immigrants. The United States and Mexico could look at establishing economic zones along the borders. With Mexican cheap labour and American investment it could potentially be a win-win situation for both countries and thus further improve the situation for these people.

Cheaper goods for the United States and employment opportunities for the Mexicans.

    But with all solutions there are potential issues/concerns;

Yes there could be an issue where Americans are worried about losing their manufacturing abilities but they have the flexibility to transform itself from a manufacturing economy to a service based economy.

The Mexicans could be worried about American companies having control over a portion of their working population. But with consultation between investors and the Mexican government there could be a frame where both parties can ensure fairness within an agreed frame.

    • Well I think the biggest problem with mexico is the drug cartel. I think if there was a way to get rid of them that might help fix the corruption. However people are too scared of getting shot. I don't think anyone is trying to interfere. Its like the slumlords in Africa. who steal the food from those who are starving. I am sure the US could fix this issue but I don't know how mexico would feel about it. That also might create a war between the Mexican cartel and the US. Not that the US would probobly care given how against narcotics they are.

Well think of it this way, if there is a market, the producer will produce to sustain the demand.

Obviously years of trying to stop drugs being struggled across the border hasn't eliminate the issue completely. What they need to do is use a two prong approach and focus more on addressing the issues of drug addiction than focusing on the source of the drugs.

        • So basically you are saying the US sends mexico to rehab?

No more like the United States looks at minimising its own citizens from falling into drug addiction.

Which country are you talking about? Different places have different issues with migration laws and employment...

Unfortunately, too many of these illegal immigrants are gang members and criminals seeking a less harsh justice system than the one in the countries they come from. Coming from countries that do not value human life, they can be merciless killers and they are spreading their criminal networks all over the country, bringing death and destruction to peaceful communities.
Illegal immigration should not be tolerated, nor should the tax payers be footing the legal bills for those who are not legal residents or citizens.
The US has enough problems these days and we cannot just lay down and allow illegals to complicate an already difficult situation. So many of these people send money home, spending little above what's necessary to continue existing here, not really contributing to the local economy or taxes. When 4 or more families live in a single family residence, eat collectively and drive unlicensed (uneducated in the traffic laws), uninsured vehicles, they are not contributing to the system, they are draining it.
Send them all home, where they should apply for legal entry through the system and when they come here they can become legal, contributing, taxpaying members of our society.

    • I agree but too many people living in the US as well as those sneaking in cry and say "But I want to live here too. My country is poor". Why the US changed the voting law to say "No ID needed". That would be the logical solution but people really don't give a shit about it. I think this should go for any country on illegal immigration but people don't care or see how its destroys an economy. So I thought of an alternative solution that will at the same time fix other issues.

Even the tiniest countries I have visited here in the Caribbean are very strict on illegal immigration. If you are caught, which most are these days, there are only 2 options; get out or go to jail. If you think US jails suck, try one on a small island, struggling to make ends meet. If you are really lucky and fast, you might get a few cockroaches to eat every day and if you have no money or family about you'll probably starve.
The US is the only country in the world, that I know of that doesn't enforce their immigration laws and seriously punish violators. We are a bunch of spineless sissies, who can't even protect ourselves and our borders from the millions of illegal immigrants who come here for nefarious reasons.
Gang members, murders and rapists should be executed en mass weekly until these assholes are either eliminated or see that their undisciplined ways are not going to be tolerated in this country. I'm sick to death of reading of drive-by shooting, gang wars, rapes and murders every damn day in this country. And while we're at it, how about adding a few bankers to that list! Then we could go after crooked politicians and....

        • Again I agree and I don't think all of them are rapist, killers and drive bys. A lot of people already in the country are probobly doing those too. Especially idiot teenager who think gang-banging makes you cool. Not that illegal immigration is a good thing. Yet that would be the logical solution and no one seems like they want the logical solution but the heartfelt "Im sorry heres a cookie".

I did not in any way mean to imply that all, or a significant number of Gang members, murders and rapists are illegal immigrants and if I gave that impression, I am sorry.
I think I went a bit off topic, but it all comes down to enforcing the existing laws for the benefit of society as a whole. They should stop chasing potheads for a few grams of weed and spend money where it will actually make the streets safer for the citizens. Most pot heads are a bit too stoned to rape or murder for the fun of it; actually most probably can't get off the couch to do anything more exciting than hunting for munchies.

            • You said talked about the immigrants needing to be deported than said that you do not want rapists, gang-banger so on running around the streets. That implys that illegal immigrants are creating all that trouble.

Not everyone can just create a company, let alone if they are illiterate, uneducated, poor and don't speak proper English. They wouldn't have the required capital either.

    • The only reason most of these people are illiterate is the fact they do not know English. I thought that was the point of classes and having everything printed n multiple languages? If they are mowing a lawn they know how to work. If they are with a family of 10 other people they are doing this together. This is small but why cant they teach 20 American boys/girls to mow a lawn? Those kids get experience, work and that Mexican gets to stay in America and has to PAY TAXES like everyone else.
