First time getting high

Okay so I smoked for the first time today and took like 5 or 6 hits with 3 other friends. At first it was awesome and I couldn't stop laughing- everything that I had hoped it would be. But then I started feeling really weird as I started losing feeling in my hands and face sort of. I felt like I couldn't really control my hands or walk properly and became really paranoid because these used to be the exact symptoms of the really bad migraines I used to get. I don't get these migraines anymore (it hasn't happened for at least 4 years now) but the feelings I was getting while high felt exactly like my migraines which would start with losing feeling/numbness in my arm and face and then other parts of my body and then a huge headache. Today, these symptoms except for headache kept coming back in waves, although in between it seemed like a normal high where I would just laugh a lot and say random things. I was so scared and now I'm hesitant about smoking again- idk if this is normal or not

That's a common reaction for first time smokers what smoke really strong dro, ur body was shunting the deoxygenated blood to ur extremities, making them numb. The sudden influx of Thc shocks ur blood cells, the red ones have a harder time respirating o2 to stationary cells. So to keep ur vital organs from suffocating, ur body sends the deoxygenated cells to ur hands, feet, face and stuff. Take it slower next time. Take a couple hits and stop before ur high, let the high sneak up on u and relax

I'm sure your fine. You don't have epilepsy or anything like that, you just smoked some really good trees and kind of got a little buggy because the high reminded you of your migraines.

Completely normal, you introduced your body to a new drug, a new chemical. Your body just didn't know how to react to it and you probably have a minor weed hangover. Should feel normal by tomorrow, but marijuana is definitely not for everybody so if you ever want to do it again, try to take one hit every few minutes, see how you feel until you are comfortably high. Too much at once can feel disorienting and make your body feel numb and your head feel like it's spinning. Moderation is key. You got this

That's 100% normal. Most people won't tell u cannabis can cause harsh drops in blood oxygen levels. Your extremadies were going numb from shunting blood to all ur vital organs. Its more of ur body tricking itself into shock because u aren't used to the THC. Take it slower next time. It might sound scary but you'll be just fine.

The Ganja effect usually lasts about 1-3 hours depending on strain and THC content. If you have a previous medical condition I would consult a doctor about it as migraines can be dangerous.

Common sense here, stop smoking if you react badly to it. Way too many fucking weed questions on here.

This is kind of serious okay? You could have a form of epilepsy or something dangerous like that. I really advise that you do not get high again. That feeling that you're getting in your hands and face could happen a lot until it all gets out of your blood stream. You have to be really careful. If you ever are driving and get this feeling please pull over and have someone come help you. This feeling occurs when your body is about to have a seizure. I'm not saying tht you did have one when you got high, but I am saying that it's possible that the weed let's say "woke up" any chances of you having epilepsy and that you should be cautious. Also. If you happen to be having any operation that you would need to be put to sleep for, please let the anesthesiologist know that you have smoked weed before. If you are out under anesthesia and you still have traces of the weed in your body then it could cause a difficulty for you to wake up. I promise you that I know what I'm talking about. I have epilepsy and I've had a similar problem. Epilepsy means seizures by the way. In case you didn't know. I really advise you to tell a doctor that you can confide in how you reacted to the high. You never know what you have going on in your brain. I know it's all really scary but just try to stay calm. I hope you understand and that this helps.

    • I completely understand although when i started getting these migraines all those years ago I got tested several times for epilepsy and all the tests turned out negative for me having it. I'll be much more cautious now although do you think smoking a smaller amount could change this or could it just keep triggering these symptoms?
