What are your thoughts on a female proposing to a male?
I like it. It shows you have confidence, and you aren't going to wait around until Hes ready to buy a ring. If you really believe you'll be together for life, who cares who initiates that next step?
I think it should be done. I think in a society where we should be equal, women should declare their feelings and propose just like a man would.
I don't see why not. It takes the pressure of both of you, but some guys (not me) might be offended at not being allowed to make the desision in their own time.
I'm a girl and I would feel bad if I proposed to my boyfriend. I feel its apart of their "manhood" to express love to the woman they love.
I'm sure guys dream of proposing to their gfs one day and I wouldn't want to take that away. Just like how girls dream of their wedding day. Women usual are the ones who plan everything after the proposal.
Other than that there's nothing wrong with it...
You don't hear many stories about it but I find it kind of interesting that it is normally all about the 'story' the first things girls ask their female friends is about the ring and/or 'How did HE propose???' They kind of have a competitive streak in having the more romantic proposal. I think it would be funny to say 'Oh he didn't propose - I did' wouldn't that put a great look on their face!
I also think some men will feel kind of emasculated... and even kind of pressured into saying yes even if they weren't 100% sure.
