Female attitude towards party behavior of their boyfriend

I am a student in my early twenties and have had several serious relationships. I would say that I have an active social life next to my studies and job. Much like most people I guess.

Since me and some of the people I associate with during weekends enjoy drinking and the use of recreational drugs (cocaine, weed, nothing special). I have come to an observation regarding women around me, as well as in my personal past that are in a relationship.

Namely: I am getting the idea that many girlfriends dislike the behavior of their boyfriend when going out. To me, there often seems to be a very negative and controlling attitude by girlfriends towards their boyfriend when he decides to drink and/or do drugs.

The logical explanation for this would be fear of him losing control and not respecting her. but even when the girlfriends are actually around they seem to often disapprove.

From what I have encountered even guys seem to always assume that women dislike the use of narcotics and alcohol and are surprised when women seem fine with it.

So girls, how do you feel about it, and guys do you recognize one of the attitudes described in your girlfriend?

Perfectly fine with anything he feels like doing 6
As long as I am there so I can keep an eye on him 8
I am fine with alcohol but do not approve of him using drugs 10
I hate it when he is under the influence and try to keep him from it 10

    Trust is very important in a relationship. Also i can understand how in ur age group girls can be extra insecure about their bfs bcuz of them being young, dumb, full of cum PLUS inebriated can lead to infidelity. Totally logical. This is 1 reason i sure as hell wouldnt date a guy ur age! Given the opportunity plus drunk and/or high with a hot chick pretty much guarantees he'll cheat.

    I like how the use of cocaine is "nothing special". LOL.

    I smoke weed constantly, and have no problem with my bf drinking or smoking weed. HOWEVER, he had a past in the more serious stuff such as cocaine, and I disapprove of that substance. Not because I'm solely insecure and want to be controlling, I just find the use of certain substances to be unattractive and GROSS. Therefore, not all women disapprove because of our insecurities, but it's not a trait everyone wants in a man.

    But hey, that's just my opinion.

      That's actually a big part of what I was really trying to figure out here. I am basically wondering at what point women are just trying to control their boyfriend, compared to when they are actually looking out for hiswellbeing (and not directly considering their own opinion or their possible misbehaviour)

    If you are unhappy talk to him about it over fried eggs fried eggs are the bestest serious conversation foods. Oh and you might want to change your nappy does wonders for the stress

    You know what I think? I think people are probably fine with you drinking. Some people are fine with you smoking pot. Most people aren't going to like their partner doing cocain... It's hard to be in a "serious" relationship with someone who doesn drugs..

    I wouldn't want my bf to do drugs, I don't even really like it when he drinks. But if the gf is doing it than she really cannot say anything if her bf decides to do it too. Girls and guys both act like idiots under the influence of any kind of stimulant or depressant.

    dont care if he gets drunk, i like drinking too but i wouldnt really want him on drugs
