Feet in my lap

At a barbeque, a girl put her feet in my lap. Neither my wife, nor anyone else said anything, acting like nothing out of ordinary had happened. I acted normally, but I found it inappropriate and thought that she was hitting on me.
After a while she got up, fetched some food and put her feet back in my lap! Then my wife asked if she was trying to steal me from her and laughed. Everybody laughed as well and continued to have a good time. I was stressed and confused. Is this normal?

How bold. You probably should have decided to stand at that point. If a woman did that to my husband, I probably would have added my feet to his lap. I'm not sure why, but feet are very personal body parts that you don't share with just anyone. It seemed a bit disrespectful of her of you ask me.

When you say her feet were in your lap, what does that mean?

That her feet were resting on your cock and balls (very dominant / sexual I think) or her feet were just resting on your legs a long way from your equipment? (not very sexual at all).

It also depends if you know each other or just met her.

    For me if I knew someone for years and she did this at a BBQ, it wouldn't mean anything sexual. It would just means she feels comfortable enough with me to put her feet up. A friendly and casual act from a friend. Has happened to me to.

I am not saying she was or wasn't hitting on you, I have no idea. But it seems to me that straight guys often perceive every little bit of attention or contact that a woman makes in their direction, or even just in their presence, as possibly hitting on them. I don't get that.

    She may or may not have, in the way it is presented in the story, she was making a joke. But my comment had absolutely nothing to do with this specific situation, it was a general statement on perception, so it really doesn't matter.

Odd thing for a girl to do to a married guy.
I would have removed them just to keep my wife from feeling uncomfortable.

She was either displaying dominance over you, hitting on you, or both. Oddly enough, when women are attracted to someone, they often move their feet closer to them or on them. Go figure.

    I have no idea. Feet are not exactly the most attractive part of a woman's body and if she was walking around barefoot outside, hers must have been filthy. I hope you weren't trying to eat with her stinky feet on your lap!

      She was walking barefoot, but on grass and her feet were not filthy, just a little greenish.

What she was doing was pretty rude. Also, if you didn't want her to use you as her personal cushion, you should have spoke up and politely told her to remove her feet.
