Feeling lonely

As an actor, I am constantly meeting new people and have no problem meeting girls. But I have trouble finding one I really connect with, one that's really on the same level as I am. The type of girls I meet are too sophisticated and simply not fun. I'm wondering if anyone out there has a similar issue, or if maybe I'm too picky when factoring in a date's personality. Is this normal?
