Fear of dying when hungover

Hi everyone
I would like to know if everyone experiences fear of dying of a heart attack when hungover.I'm not a regular drinker and very rarely overdo it.I've suffered from panic attacks in the past but they're under control but a major trigger is a hungover. My heart races, dizziness feelings and that I'm going to collapse and die.I know it's not worth drinking when having to feel so awful after wards, but I would like to hear if people experience these sort of feelings too.I'm aware that these feelings are typical of a panic attack but I control my anxiety on normal days but I can't when hungover.
Thanks in advance for your help.

No. When I'm hungover I fee like crap, don't want to move etc... But yeah I guess it'll feel like I'm gonna get alcohol poisoning. But you have to drink a lot in order for that to happen. I suggest you ask a doctor if it's that bad thou.

  • I have the same thing, and I suffer from anxiety too. My boyfriend and other male friend have it but they don't suffer anxiety. Except when they're at work on a Monday morning and it happens.

I don't have to drink a lot to feel like that I wonder if I have an intolerance to alcohol.
Thanks a lot for your answers.

I skipped on this question in search of some potential trolling, but i read what you wrote and thought i best be serious. I actually get the exact same thing sometimes!!! It feels like you are going to have a heart attack, you even get a little bit of pain. A way i found to stop it was when i feel that way, think of something completely unrelated, something like football or something you enjoy doing, and if you need to breathe into a paper bag, with slow in and out breathes. It works for me so if you feel like that again give it a go, it might work for you too. Good luck.
