How dare you not mention the Spice Girls? Their music was life-changing. My sister and I watched "Wannabe" hit the charts and asked each other, "Is this a joke?" A week later, it appeared that this was not a joke. And it changed my life. Music had died.

Aww, and then you went away. We had such high hopes for you too. And we all liked your username. Why did you leave us? You could have helped protect me when The Spice Girls all came past, punched me on the snotter, and voted down my comment.

Talk about a perfect pop band!

I could also have said the Pixies...maybe, but they're a little more 80s?

It was really hard for me to pick between Nirvana, Oasis, and Green Day. I picked Oasis, because their songs are what I find more relate-able with my life, from age fifteen onwards. Radiohead is good for mellow car drives into the country.

Why wasn't Pearl Jam listed? I didn't really like 'em, but they certainly had fans. I was in high school 1991-1995 and I remember how the coolest kids (IMHO) wore the Nirvana shirts, then the not-as-cool kids wore the Pearl Jam shirts.... And then I stayed out of the loop by being partial to Matthew Sweet. :-D

Why wern't any Gangsta Rap groups mentioned? 1990 to 1994 marked a golden age in Gangsta Rap!

Did they do anything other than Three Lions? (And I don't mean Three Lions '98!) They sure never got any fame in the USA to my knowledge!

  • Pearl jam, nirvana, soundgarden, the smashing pumpkins, and another really good 90s grunge bad is Silverchair. The song "shade" by them is tasty. :D

I more or less agree with you and I was a 90's kid.
      Slayer, Megadeth, Metallica...
      I don't really like Anthrax. :P

Anyway, most of the songs they made have more replay value than stuff from the 90's.

      Comment Hidden ( show )
    • I'd say they're 80s bands as they released their best albums then. Well, tallica' did, MegaDeth are getting better and better! But still, 80s band.

  • Sorry if your fav band/artist wasn't named, I only mentioned the REALLY big ones, so no comments saying
"Ohh, where's blah blah blah" etc etc.
Just mention your heros of the 90s.
