Yeah..to be honest this was an impulse question...the only part of Grunge I ever saw was on MTV..I was a Dead Head back then (or possibly in a phase when I was not much into music) and never ventured much outside of being a GD or JGB fan...I have hundreds and hundreds of non-Dead CD's, and I only have 4 Grunge CD's...so I am not trying to appear like I am endeared to Grunge, or know much about it...Though I saw lots of Grunge video's back in the day.
alice in chains was more rock really. nirvana came out of there and defined that era. pearl jam is just amazing. they have so many songs. so many.
I didn't care too much for the Seattle Grunge stuff, but of the choices given, I went with Alice in Chains, since they did my single most favorite song of the bunch. (Man In The Box.)
Plus you know they were cool when they drew Pat Robertson's ire at the time by singing "Jesus Christ, deny your maker."
Wheres the smashing pumpkins? they were considered grunge. but yea, nirvana all the way, i have all their cds.
Nirvana, Kurt Cobain was a musically genius and a true legend. I only wish I was alive to have seen them play.
