  The question really boils down to did your dad teach you anything?! If so what....and if ur a dad what did you tell your son.

My dad was dead since I was a baby, and I have no brothers, so my mother and sisters wouldn’t probably understand male masturbation as well. I did it when I was ten and didn’t know what I was doing, until a year later when they taught us in school. For a while I thought it was something only boys did, it was actually an episode of That 70s show of all things where I found out that girls can do it too. I talked to my mom about this before and she said it would’ve been really uncomfortable if her mother taught her this stuff. I get the feeling they really didn’t like talking about it. I personally think a parent should teach their kid about it, if they know that their child is doing it. Society is way too sensitive about these things.

It's completely normal for parents to not teach their kids about masturbation. When I was a kid I just went to the library, and read books on puberty and sexuality. You can learn a lot by reading a book or a website!

    In all sincerity I don't know of anyone from a relatively normal family who was taught about masturbation by either of their parents. They might say some awkward thing about young people having feelings, and notions then wanting to explore themselves when they reach adolescence, but that's about it. Masturbation is pretty self explanatory, go to the zoo, and look at the apes, they didn't need an explanation.
    
    The only thing my mom ever told me about it was that I shouldn't do it when she caught me when I was very young, so I just figured after that to never get caught again. To this day I will never understand people who get a thrill out of possibly getting caught doing anything sexual.

My mom never showed me.
What the hell.
You touch your whole body when you bathe right?
Then give extra attention to the areas that seem to need it.
