I think that happens to a lot of people who watch way too much porn: the need to constantly one up in order to illicit that same response. I'm guessing it probably releases the same brain chemicals as drug use, and in much the same way, you might require something more to achieve the desired effect.

Problem being, that porn is finite. There's only so much material, and after you watch German midgets smearing poop mixed with broken glass on each other and fap using your own tears as lube, how are you gonna enjoy regular sex with regular women? Porn addiction seems like a miserable, depraved slippery slope to go down, but that's just my opinion.

Personally I'm not into really gross stuff, but I do find I look for more extreme situations. Like public stuff, etc. Two actors on a set doesn't do it for me.

Actually the same thing happens in your brain when you watch porn that happens in a drug addict...you need more and more stimulus to get excited. It sounds like you're addicted to porn, which can be just as disastrous as drug or any other type of addiction.

The silver lining maybe that just because I watch this stuff online. I still don't think it'd do much/any of it in real life if it came down to it.

Like, most people have seen horrendous videos of war and although it's terrible 5 minutes after you're perfectly fine etc.. but if you saw someone get shot or blown up in real life it'd probably scar you mentally for years to come.

There's been a lot of research that shows porn and extreme porn addiction will desensitize a person's brain to the point where you need more and more extreme acts to get you off. The worst news is most men will eventually have problems getting it up.
So take my advice go cold turkey like I did. You'll thank me for it.

There's no "normal" in sexual excitement, so that doesn't bother me. What's a little troubling is that you said you're becoming more isolated and withdrawn. Maybe you should find someone that shares your taste in porno, and find your soul mate that way. Good luck.

Extreme porn doesn't kill sex lives. No sex kills sex lives. Get out and meet people, find a hobby, learn to dance. Meet some interesting people who are fun to hang with and you may actually get a life which in turn increases the odds you'll have a sex life :)

As long as it's consensual, of course. I think we can all agree passionate sex is better than mundane, emotionless sex. We crave intense sex, and sometimes that intensity can become somewhat aggressive. Some people like those intense moments the best and want to live in them perpetually instead of beating around the bush.
