    It means emotions are complicated, and while he is consciously aware he needs to move on, a big part of him still craves the good times.

        because it wasn't all good. Memories are biased when we look back we either remember things as better or worse than they were. When he ended it, he hopefully had thought it out and realized it was the right decision but as time passes, he looks back and sees biased memories of good times without the bad.

    He states that he "WANTS" to move on. Apparently he can't do that yet. I would presume that he "WILL" be able to do so once he connects with someone that he is into.
