Ex is putting off me getting my things

so since the day we broke up i was supposed to get my things and say our goodbye. but he puts it off everyday. and today was the day where i was supposed to and now he’s like i don’t know if i’m ready and you’re too emotional for this and it’s annoying cuz half of my stuff is at his apartment and he wont let me get it. he said we would have one last night and all these things and now he’s just going back on what he said. i kept telling him look i need my things now i don’t care i need to get them and he proceeded to say that i’m ruining the chance at friendship.... why is he doing this

    He's keeping his options open and stringing you along. If you're cool with being his plaything and enjoy the soap opera drama of all this, then that's fine. If you have some self-respect, get your stuff out of his place, draw a line under this and move on.

    If you want your stuff, call the cops and ask if they will escort you while you retrieve your property. You can fantasise about being friends in the future, but he's not acting very friend-like at the moment. In fact, he's fucking with you.

    You probably have some valuables he's looking to sell and he thinks you'll eventually give up on trying to get them. You might want to to get the authorities involved.

    You bring a big dude with you and have him stand there with his arms folded. You smile and say Hi we have come to get my things. ( I have done this for my sister and a couple of my wive's friends a buncha times. )

        You got your stuff back? GOOD! Now would be an excellent time to completely wash your hands of this dirtbag user guy, and move on with your life!

        If you can't get past all of this, and move on with your life then what you need to do is to start seeing a mental health professional ASAP. This scumbag guy will NEVER be what you want him to be, and you need to learn to be grateful that such an awful relationship with such a screaming asshole is over.

          i’m just hoping he will realize he lost a girl who would love him unconditionally and that it is very unsatifiykng to just have meaningful sex, and he will apologize and come back for me. and tell me he knows what he wants
