Every so often it feels like my heart just stop beating or flutters or something like that. I'm not really sure how to describe it. I've been sitting here for about an hour and it has happened 3 times. I'm not sure if I should be worried about this or not. I'm not going to lie, I am a little bit under the age limit for this website, but I'd appreciate it if someone would give me guidance or answers...

    My heart usually skips or double-beats at about the interval you mention. I don't find it painful or unnerving, so I'd assumed it normal until stumbling upon this question. It still seems like a minor issue to me, but since the general consensus is to see a doctor, I won't say otherwise.

    It happens to a lot of people. It may even happen to everyone, but they don't feel it. Usually it's nothing to worry about, but you can see a doctor to be safe.

    I have the same exact thing, but it only happens maybe every 3 or 4 weeks. You will probly be ok, but hey ya got to go someday.

    I have the same problem, and my doctor told me that i could take a prescription drug for it, but it wasnt a necessity. That was 18 years ago, and I remain medication-free. Nonetheless, i would absolutely see a doctor, and get a second opinion to much sure that medication is not forced on you !!

      I don't think it is caffeine related. I do not drink coffee or soda and I have a reasonably healthy diet.

    I've never experienced that. I think the wisest idea would be to check it out with a doctor. But it probably isn't anything to be worried about. Relax and go check it out ;)

    It sounds just like palpitations to me. the more worked up and anxious you become, the more you'll have. i have them but my heart is completely normal - if i don't get panicked about them they go away - do see your doctor though, i think this is normal.

    Sounds like Transient Idiopathic Arrhythmia. - diagnosed by Dr. Wikipedia, MD.

    If you're young it may be something called WPW. Lots of kids have it and grow out of it. Agree with everyone who suggests you see your doctor.

    I once was very sick and I had about 6-9 heart pangs in a day. It was very painful and scary. And it took awhile for my heart to relax and beat normally. I think you see a doctor.
