Ever got sad over a present?

I live alone and I don't talk to too many people. In these two years since I moved I have only talked with my neibourgh's son about six times. Most of them were when I was sitting with my car. He always said he enjoyed talking to me.
Today he came and rang at my house's door and he gave me a present. That was really nice of him. I haven't gotten a present especially around Christmas time in years. I kinda feel like I don't deserve it and I also feel sorry because he bothered for me. He seemed so happy that he gave me this present I couldn't tell him it saddened me so I said it made me really happy.
This made me wonder.. Have you ever been sad because somebody gave you something as a present?
