Ever bought a woman flowers?

Ever bought a woman flowers? I bought a big bouquet for a new girlfriend I was entering a long term relationship with when I was younger and I felt really stupid for it. Probably cause people mocked me for it.
I still feel so embarassed when I remember it. Oh the regret!

The people who mocked you were probably your single male friends who never get laid.

One time me and a new girl Id only been seeing for a month were walking past a flower display and I grabbed one and gave it to her. The guy behind the stall looked like he was gonna have a heart attack when I saw a sign that said they were some ancient and rare flowers from china.

People will always make smart comments when you buy flowers but they probably buy flowers as well and if they dont its because they have no style with women

Getting flowers out of the blue is nice if you're together longer.

Aside from that, it's also nice on special days(like anniversary, birthday, valentines day(yeah, i admit to it, i actually like it in a perverse way)...

don't feel stupid for being mocked. If you bring flowers on a first date or the first meeting after hooking up, that may feel a bit awkward, but generally flowers are good ^_^

Actually, flowers out of the blue when you've been together longer is very very suspicious. >:)

        haha...true, i guess.

it really depends on who you are with though.
Me and my partner make sure we regularily "surprise" one another with small minor gifts, in a way of "i was thinking about you"...one possible expression of that is bringing flowers ^_^

Actually last year, I remember that I showed up early for school. Before first period. Anyways, there's this girl who is amazing, so for valentines day I gave her chocolates and flowers. Nothing really happened but she gave me a hug and said it was very nice. I don't regret it.

Probably only for my mother, though I'm sure I've gotten flowers for other female family members.

Your "friends" were idiots for mocking you about that. There's nothing wrong with buying flowers for someone you care about.

Once you get out of your teens and start dating ladies instead of hussies, flowers become very important, when you come to pick her up for a date, bringing her flowers and chocolate, cheesy as it might sound, is still a very good start.

Yes I have bought flowers for girls on several different occasions. I have been lucky enough for it to go well every single time I have tried such.

    Man, that sucks.
Buying flowers is a great show of affection. I have been bought flowers before but I do not care for things that I can not eat or use. I see it as a waste of money on the guy's part for me, better off bringing me a burger or filling up my gas tank =/

Yes, many times, although it hasn't always had the desired effect. One girlfriend was staunchly against uprooting flowers and then letting them wilt and die. The [person who can't be mentioned] used the flowers I sent her at work to make jealous a man she'd been flirting with. Not the desired effect at all. Finally, I've received flowers from a girl I was in a relationship with. She wrote an incredibly touching and meaningful message (it's impossible to explain) and it was just one of the nicest things.
