Engagement to friend zone...wtf

Hey , started dating a girl about a year ago , things progressed and we were in talks about getting engaged. Her feelings changed a few months after and she wants me as a friend and made it clear. I spent time, money, and was borderline to involved with this girl and I wasn't about to be labeled as the gay friend. So I cut her cold from my life. I'm 26 and am not about playing games but she started it , I'm finishing it. After months of no contact I sent an email and we met for dinner , great night , we were both pretty drunk , ( I know I was blitzed out of my mind ). And I came back with a new appearance , started going to gym alot , gq wardrobe etc... And it is a pretty safe bet to say she was attracted, she did not let go of my arm the whole night , we were very touchy... But no sex ( sucks ) anyways, I called her out on the friend zone, she said things haven't changed , so I acted cool and continued to see her for another 4 dates . I asked her to come with me to a get away spot up north for a weekend, she said yes , but never came through. So I cut her cold again. Present day situation , 2 weeks no news either side ( we would talk on a daily basis before ) . I'm pretty caught up about this girl , we do everything as a couple and she does it on purpose to make sure the image in public is we are a couple, ( always is holding my arm or hand ) and is jealous of other girls who come talk with me . But still keeps me in this friend zone...wtf

    Just pretend she is dead. There's no reason to get someone else involved in this mess in order to get her jealous (unless the other girl is imaginary).

    Love what everyone had to say , appreciate it. Neuroneptunian broke it down pretty hard and I agree with what she had to say. Still no news on either side, however given the polls , looks like I have to cut her and not give her face, and I'm doing exactly that. I deleted her numbers on my phone, incoming and outgoing txt inbox have been erased too. So even if I want to call her back... I cant , I don't know her number. We both live in different parts of the city so I'm not worried about running into her anytime soon. Will keep you guys updated if anything changes. Thanks people, regardless different views, helped me make a solid choice.

    She's playing with you. This bitch has control issues and needs you to be lonely and only wants you to feed her pathetic ego. If you started seeing another girl, it would kill a part of her. Women like this need to be admired by men, whether or not they have any interest in committing. She probably has never been in a healthy long-term relationship EVER. She needs approval, she craves approval, and she is so fucking caught up in herself that one man's approval isn't enough.

    She's a pathetic little ego-maniac who has no idea of what she is doing and until she realizes that her behavior is fucked up and that no matter how many men love her, she will never be happy with herself unless she changes, she'll be miserable for the rest of her fucking life. You're probably not the only man that she has done this to and it won't be until the men in her life decide that they can do better and tell her to fuck off that she'll realize just how pathetic she is and change.

    Be that man. Put your foot down and tell her enough is enough. Tell her that you are not her "prey" and that you will not be played with like food.
    She might become hateful towards you. This will be yet another defense mechanism, in which case, leave her to her own devices.
    She might suddenly want you a shit load more, because the chase is better than the catch with these bitches and if she feels that she can't have you, you will become the object of her desires.
    OR she will dismiss your claims, and keep doing this until she gets knocked up by her male equivalent and cries about how she can never find a guy that loves her, dawhhh...

    TL;DR Give up, cut this bitch off, if she ever wants to hang out with you again, do it, and when she starts behaving like this put your foot down and she how she reacts. Quit obsessing over this girl, women like this aren't together in the head and usually have daddy issues.
