Actually, EMO is NOT just clothing. It's when you wear your hair over your face like AFI (WHY THE FUCK are people becoming so obsessed with trying to be OTHER people? Its a subculture I've had the pleasure being apart of. 2008 was a good year for many things but mainly because I found the loves of my young life, Tokio Hotel.

I have no interest in finding out the gothic or emo people. I like the style tho. Its nothing for me. But i kinda love the gothic/emo style on girls and i almost had a "rave" girlfriend.

eno the term came from the music than somewhere around 2000 (ish) people started caling other people emo meaning emotinal that dosent mean that they cut them self or winge things out of proportion the people who are TRULEY emo will be the ones who cant stop the bullshit they get dayley and wind up being sucluded and not being in the "in" croud which is not nessasarily a bad thing.

It's hard to differenciate emo,goth,punk and metal fans based on appearance. (although punk might be easier to notice based on their spikiness).

Not all emos cut themselves. I used to, but I got bored of it. I do like Heavy metal, and I don't act all depressed all the time. My schools emos are a lot different than they are stereotyped to be. In fact, emos and normal people co-exist decently. We don't even get bullied.

One - that cuts themselves
Two - that wears a certain type of clothing and listens to a certain type of music

I'm the latter, and it's basically skinny jeans, music shirts and make-up! I like every type of music! I like screamo and hard metal, but I also like classic rock, pop, hip-hop, classical and even some country. My friends think I one of the happiest people in the world and I am. You shouldn't sterotype emos because we are people who don't deserve to be treated that way! Especially the ones who need help because their life is horrible!

You should want to help them! The haters are the reason that emos think life isn't worth living.

Can i just say, Emo's are not all about being depressed and slitting there wrists. Most emo's are happy with who they are. Emo is the music they like, the clothes they wear and yeah maybe they like too have there hair over one eye. But people class all emos as sad,depressed people who self harm. when half the people are emo's because they like the music ect. Its just another label like Chav. But people dont diss chavs half as much as they doo emo's.
